The Antioch Movement

The Antioch International Movement of Churches is a group of churches connected through the power and work of the Holy Spirit and by a desire to love God, love one another and love those who do not know Jesus. It is our conviction that the church is the hope the world and our passion is to see the Church advance the Kingdom of God around the world.

The vision for every Antioch Church is to be a live giving and reproducing church.  That each church would send out church plants to different cities and nations to reach specific locations and in turn train others who will go and plant churches.  The vision doesn’t stop with the church plants we send out. Our dream is for each of our church plants to become a church-planting movement that influences thousands of people through the power and work of the Holy Spirit. Our teams are dedicated to training nationals to reach their people and lead their own movements. As these movements grow, we believe the number of unengaged and unreached people groups will decrease.

In the past 25 years, The Antioch Movement has planted churches all over the U.S. and around the world.

Church Plant Training

Each of our church-planting teams is trained and sent out from the Antioch base in Waco, Texas, or from another Antioch church. Before being sent out, teams go through our training schools. Students who graduate from our Discipleship School and want to plant a church then attend the Church-Planting School where our experienced staff trains teams in leadership, strategy, evangelism and discipleship, as well as any other necessary spiritual and practical elements of starting a church-planting church.

When teams are sent into the field, the U.S. church plants operate as independent churches with a board of directors and the international locations operate independently under the guidance of our International Field Office. However, we support our teams every step of the way through:

  • Strategic guidance
  • Ongoing pastoral support
  • Recurring training and development.

If you are interested in church planting with Antioch, consider getting involved with one of our church plants or going through our training schools.
